Job Overview

Boreal Solar is expanding its solar distribution and logistics operations across Canada and into LATAM. We are seeking a Warehouse & Supply Chain Supervisor with technical knowledge in solar equipment and proven experience in managing warehouse teams, coordinating inbound/outbound logistics, overseeing inventory systems, and maintaining high operational standards. This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for leading warehouse staff, overseeing daily logistics and inventory control, and ensuring efficient coordination with suppliers, installers, and international customers. The supervisor must also be able to communicate in Spanish to support LATAM installers and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the activities of warehouse personnel responsible for receiving, storing, handling, and distributing solar equipment.
  • Assign daily tasks, set performance standards, and ensure adherence to operational procedures and safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor team members on warehouse processes, equipment handling, inventory systems, and solar product specifications. Evaluate staff performance and prepare reports on productivity and KPI’s.
  • Coordinate and oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely deliveries to Canadian and LATAM installation crews. Communicate with freight carriers, customs brokers, and transport companies to streamline logistics and solve shipment issues. Coordinate delivery timelines, loading schedules.
  • Liaise with equipment suppliers to verify product specifications, monitor backorders, and ensure quality compliance before shipping the product. Conduct technical quality inspections and troubleshoot product discrepancies
  • Validate shipments against purchase orders, ensuring correct models, PV wattages, racking systems, inverters, and BOS components.
  • Oversee and maintain the accuracy of inventory management systems, performing daily updates, reconciliations, and cycle counts.
  • Prepare weekly inventory metrics and operational reports for management. Warehouse Operations Oversight Lead and participate in warehouse floor operations when required, including loading/unloading trucks and organizing outbound shipments.
  • Ensure safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment in compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain workflow organization, warehouse layout optimization, and continuous process improvements.
  • Support installation teams by preparing materials, resolving product compatibility questions, and providing basic technical guidance.
  • Communicate directly in Spanish with LATAM installers, clients, and subdistributors to coordinate shipments, clarify product specifications, and resolve technical and logistical issues.
  • Prepare documentation for international shipments and work with sales, procurement, and customer service teams to support market expansion.
  • Maintain accurate records of warehouse transactions, logistics documentation. Prepare operational performance metrics, compliance reports, and improvement proposals for management review.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education Secondary school diploma required.
  • Post-secondary studies in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience Minimum 2+ years of experience in warehouse supervision, logistics coordination, or solar/electrical distribution equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising warehouse staff.
  • Proven experience using inventory control systems and logistics software.
  • Technical knowledge of solar panels, racking, inverters, and related components required.
  • Experience with quality inspections, receiving, shipping, and product verification in solar or electrical sectors.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment (training/certification an asset).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) as required.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and inventory management systems.
  • Spanish language proficiency for LATAM market coordination.

Working Conditions Warehouse-based environment requiring mobility, equipment handling, and safety compliance. Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional overtime during peak shipment periods. Direct involvement in logistics operations, coordination with field crews, and supplier interactions.
