ABOUT THE ROLE

The Receiving Lead will directly interact with the receiving department team. The Receiving Lead is to ensure compliance of the procedure, and communicate goals, safety practices, and also provides ongoing guidance and support to the employees as they complete their action plans. The Receiving Lead will provide assistance and support to the Receiving Supervisor.


COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday, 5AM - 1:30PM, Full-Time, Non-Exempt

$21.89 hourly

ONSITE: 2601 Quorum Drive - Fort Worth, TX 76137

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Use a tablet and scanner to perform the job
  • Receive goods based on supplies packing list
  • Safely operate all warehouse equipment
  • Show up on time every day, ready to work with a positive attitude
  • Maintain a safe and clean warehouse
  • Follow directions of supervisors and mangers
  • Help reconcile and delivery discrepancies
  • Monitor receiving progress and process to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide assistance and guidance to the receiving team
  • Perform regular safety walks
  • Assess the root cause of receiving issues and help devise a plan of action for preventing similar future problems
  • Process improvement participation
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • High School Diploma
  • Must be in good standing with the company
  • Ability to read and understand pick tickets and labels written in English
  • Ability to use electronic devices
  • Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers quickly and accurately
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Ability to prioritize assignments in order to meet cut off times.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
  • Ability to learn or be trained on using power equipment: Order Picker, Reach Truck, Stock Chaser, Pallet Jack, Electric Pallet Jack, Forklift, etc.
  • Willing to perform other duties as required
  • Able to work overtime if required

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

Must be able to wear proper safety equipment (safety toe shoes, bump caps and safety vest). PPE is company-provided with a $100 stipend on safety-toe shoes after 90 days of employment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

In performing the job of a Receiving Lead, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching and handling of items up to 50 lbs. Moderate Hand-Eye coordination, near vision, far vision and hearing is required for the operation of warehouse machinery.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool.
  • The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise.
