About the position

The Utilities Equipment Repairer position at Aerotek involves supporting the safe and efficient operation of industrial-sized chiller and boiler systems at a university. The role requires relevant experience in commercial or industrial environments, focusing on monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining chiller systems and associated equipment. Responsibilities

  • Support the safe and efficient operation of University Centrifugal Chillers and associated equipment.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the chiller management system.
  • Support the monitoring and maintenance of cooling tower water treatment controllers and associated equipment.
  • Perform daily rounds to inspect the chiller equipment.
  • Support the sampling and testing of chemicals to maintain correct water chemistry.
  • Work in a safe manner, adhering to OSHA standards and all other applicable federal regulations.
  • Complete preventative maintenance orders, work orders, and document work performed.
  • Communicate orally and in writing with department personnel and management.
  • Perform related responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Experience with large commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Experience with centrifugal chillers.
  • Knowledge of auxiliary equipment, including pumps, bearings, and belts.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain chiller systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience operating HVAC equipment.
  • Graduation from an accredited HVAC technical school or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record may be required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and bend, stoop, and twist.
  • Knowledge of ASME and NFPA codes and standards.
