<strong>Description<br><br></strong>Amazon Shipping is building a high-growth business designed to transform how the world thinks about logistics. As we continue to hire and ramp Business Development talent at scale, we are looking for a Learning & Development leader to own onboarding for new Business Developers across the U.S., with a primary focus on East Coast–based teams.<br><br>As a Sr. Learning & Development Lead for BD Onboarding, you will design, deliver, and continuously improve onboarding programs that ensure new hires ramp quickly, confidently, and consistently. You will be accountable for foundational seller readiness and early performance outcomes.<br><br><strong>About You<br><br></strong>You are an onboarding specialist who understands that first impressions matter—and that strong early enablement drives long-term success. You combine instructional design expertise with deep empathy for new hires, anticipating where Business Developers struggle and proactively designing learning to close those gaps.<br><br>You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple onboarding cohorts simultaneously. You take ownership for outcomes, not just content, and continuously inspect and improve programs based on feedback and performance data.<br><br>Key job responsibilities<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br><ul><li> Own end-to-end onboarding programs for new Business Development hires, with primary support for East Coast teams.</li><li> Design and deliver foundational training across products, tools, processes, and sales motions.</li><li> Partner with Business Development Leaders, Sales Ops, and HR to align onboarding content with role expectations and ramp targets.</li><li> Manage onboarding schedules, certification requirements, and readiness assessments.</li><li> Continuously inspect onboarding effectiveness using feedback, performance metrics, and early productivity indicators.</li><li> Maintain and update onboarding materials to reflect product, process, and tooling changes.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Basic Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> 5+ years of program or project management experience</li><li> Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements</li><li> Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership</li><li> Experience planning, or experience with Learning & Development and course facilitation or an equivalent professional qualification</li><li> 5+ years of Learning & Development, Sales Enablement, or equivalent experience</li><li> Experience designing and delivering onboarding programs<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field</li><li> 2+ years of driving process improvements experience</li><li> Experience supporting B2B sales or business development organizations as a Sales Enablement or L&D Lead</li><li> Experience operating in fast-growing organizations<br><br></li></ul>Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.<br><br>Los Angeles County applicants: Job duties for this position include: work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff; adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions; communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service; and follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
