Job Description Vacancy Status: Yes - This posting is for an existing vacancy within the organization and is open to new applications. (Backfill) AI Disclosure: As part of the application process, Artificial Intelligence will be used in the hiring process for this role Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Markham Elevation Centre (MEC) and/ or Oshawa Elevation Centre (OEC) three times per week, at minimum. About The Role: ADAS CG validation team supports the infrastructure validation testing of ADAS controllers in the domains of Serial Communication, Diagnostics, Cybersecurity, OTA and DVUL. Testing can be conducted on open loop, close loop HIL benches or SIL platform. Test automation is continuously updated to ensure comprehensive test coverage and early issue detection. The role requires the ability to participate in the ADAS CG validation team technically within assigned domains to achieve validation excellence and deliver timely validation results to meet program milestones. The role also requires working independently/cross-functionally, in developing new projects, and efficiently reporting any issue for timely resolution. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to grow and develop career by working with various branches of Software & Service organization and the latest AV/ADAS technology. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) Work collaboratively with CG Owner/SME, Calibration, System Safety, Platform/APP software and tool teams to implement appropriate test plans Gather and analyze requirements/test inputs, assess validation feasibility and troubleshoot issues Manage validation projects including validation timing, bench readiness, simulation environment/tool readiness, test automation readiness, and regular validation status reporting or escalation Root cause test failures, identify SW change ownership and participate in data-driven system development initiatives Participate in scrum activities and conduct various testing in the sprint, such as CG3000, smoke, sanity, regression and feature based testing Deliver validation result on time with quality to the internal customers including CICVAD, Jira, PRTS and test report Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in Software/Computer/Electrical/Embedded Systems/Electronics Engineering or equivalent field 3–5-year experience with Black Box testing, software testing and test automation Prior software experience, preferably in Python with exposure to bash and Jenkins automation Knowledge of system engineering and its application in SW validation testing Knowledge and experience in Black Box testing on open loop, HIL and SIL benches Knowledge of DVUL, serial data communications, diagnostics, cybersecurity, OTA and reprogramming for ADAS controllers Knowledge of calibration/MAC/ARXML/ODX and their impact in CG testing Ability to anticipate problems & escalade issues timely Ability to identify and apply new technology to improve validation efficiency and quality Ability to independently investigate issues based on limited information, demonstrating high level of analytical ability to resolve complex problems Ability to juggle frequent urgent requests and fast-paced changes in SW development Ability to communicate at different levels of organization efficiently Be creative, disciplined and have a strong sense of responsibility & timing commitment Must be legally allowed to work in Canada and be able to travel to the USA What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications) Understanding of major automotive vehicle systems such as Advanced Driver-Assistance (ADAS), Motion Control, Automotive Network, and Powertrain Experience with Linux or QNX OS/file system Experience with test tool such as CANoe, Vehicle Spy, INCA, AutoVAL Exposure to the Adaptive AUTOSAR service-based vehicle platform Exposure to C/C++ language Exposure to CI/CD development methodologies Experience with scrum operation Compensation: The salary range for this role is $81,300 to $122,000.
