This role focuses on turning data into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decisions across global brands, innovation spaces, and new business models. The individual will manage analytical projects, synthesize insights from multiple sources, and help guide McCormick’s thinking on where and how the company should grow over the decade. This role contributes directly to McCormick’s global growth agenda helping define where the company plays, how it wins, and how it continues to lead in flavor, innovation, and consumer connection.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze industry, category, and consumer data to spot emerging trends, market shifts, and growth opportunities
  • Review business performance metrics to identify what is driving results and pinpoint areas that need improvement or optimization
  • Develop data-based scenarios that support strategic planning and help shape long-term growth priorities
  • Collaborate with teams across functions and regions to align data sources, validate insights, and ensure consistent, informed decision-making throughout the organization
  • Design and lead forward-looking research that explores emerging consumer interests and behaviors
  • Build partnerships with external agencies specializing in future trends, innovation, and cultural intelligence to bring fresh, external perspectives into the organization
  • Create experiential learning sessions that help teams anticipate and respond to evolving consumer and cultural shifts
  • Collect and analyze data from multiple external sources to assess competitive strengths and weaknesses
  • Develop summaries, dashboards, and visual reports that make competitive insights clear and actionable across teams
  • Create engaging workshops and presentations that help teams apply market insights into their work
  • Drive continuous improvement by proactively seeking out new information, emerging methodologies, and future-focused ways of working
  • Coordinate knowledge-sharing forums to strengthen strategic capability across teams.
  • Refine processes, tools, and templates to enhance efficiency, alignment, and impact across the Growth Organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 6–8 years of experience in consumer insights, strategy, marketing, data analytics or related field ideally within the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry
  • Extensive experience in understanding, extracting, and analyzing Point of Sale (POS) data such as Circana, Nielsen, and/or Euromonitor to identify market trends, assess company performance, and generate actionable business insights
  • Experience designing and managing consumer insight projects from concept to delivery.
  • Proven ability to identify, engage, and manage external partners through multi-stage project execution
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Proven ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform business strategy
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence presenting insights and recommendations to senior and executive leadership.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across global and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing short-term priorities with long-term strategic initiatives.
