Summary/Purpose:

You are a global design leader with the creativity, empathy and courage needed to lead Design for a key pillar within the Enterprise Oral Care Category of Colgate-Palmolive. You are driven by the challenge of transforming a traditional CPG powerhouse into a great design-integrated, innovative, growth company. You inspire and lead people around you, dream big and push boundaries but always deliver. You are a strategic design leader. You have a deep experience with the discovery, development and delivery of online and offline brand experience. You thrive in the ambiguity of internal and external challenges facing us today. You are able to navigate and collaborate within a global enterprise. You need to lead design and brand projects that exceed our business objectives across 2D and 3D packaging, digital platforms, retail environments and e-commerce.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design within a key pillar of the Enterprise Oral Care Category in delivering excellence in strategic brand-design experiences, with a heavy concentration in packaging design systems, execution and sustained activation for Global and Divisional brands in OC.
  • Collaborate closely with the EOC Marketing team and Divisions to ensure that the global design strategy aligns with the overall brand strategy and guidelines, while also adapting to local market needs.
  • Drive design excellence standards with internal and external agency partners (starting with packaging and expanding to brand experience and activation).
  • Champion Colgate’s Design vision, approach, systems and guardianship
  • Lead / participate in design-centered thought leadership
  • Collaborate with cross functional business partners to develop Design Briefs and Project Planning
  • Build relationships to influence regional marketing/business leaders to elevate impact and role of design
  • Resource management across internal and external creative partners

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Design or related field
  • 8+ years professional experience in design- primarily within a Consumer Product Goods sector on Global brands, brand or related creative industry, packaging design experience a must, digital design experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of necessary software applications and platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of global brand design systems (brand equity, architecture, visual assets, guardianship).
  • Able to effectively and calmly navigate organizational dynamics, remove barriers to enable success, while building relationships that position design as a strategic partner.
  • Effective ability to lead and orchestrate multiple assignments at one time.
  • Strong communication and influence skills across differing cultural backgrounds.
  • Excellent presentation, influence and negotiation skills.
  • Balances Global hard points while delivering for local relevance


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $130,000.00 - $170,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
