Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python/Django to ensure scalability and performance.
  • Lead architectural decisions to transition from a monolithic system to modular, cloud-native solutions.
  • Integrate and optimize AWS services such as Lambda, RDS, and S3 to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with a cross-functional squad (product manager and engineers) to deliver impactful features.
  • Contribute to decomposing the existing platform into microservices that support future products, including the 2026 mobile app.
  • Identify technical improvements in architecture, code quality, and processes, proposing well-founded solutions.
  • Promote open communication, shared ownership, and alignment across development cycles.
  • Stay adaptable and curious, continuously learning as the platform and technology stack evolve.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Software Developer, with a proven track record building and maintaining production-grade applications.
  • Hands-on experience working with microservices architectures, including designing, developing, and decomposing monolithic systems into modular, API-driven services.
  • Proven experience as a hands-on Python/Django engineer with strong ownership and delivery focus.
  • Deep understanding of backend systems design, scalability, and modular architectures.
  • Exposure to front-end technologies such as React and TypeScript, comfortable fixing, extending, or supporting UI features when needed.
  • Solid experience integrating and optimizing AWS services (Lambda, RDS, S3) in development environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Architectural awareness and ability to contribute to long-term platform strategy.
