The Commercial Project Manager, Finance will manage strategic customer projects within the Electrification and Automation Business Unit, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and optimizing project finances throughout the project life cycle.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the completion of all project commercial/financial related matters, including but not limited to handling Accounting, Legal, Tax, New Collaboration Model (NCM) and Export Compliance and Control (ECC) topics
  • Ensure compliance of regulations during the offer and project execution phases
  • Support the respective Project Manager in other areas with the objective of executing the project according to the PM @ Siemens guidelines, customer requirements, Financial Reporting Guidelines (FRG)
  • Professional collaboration between the CPM and the Project Manager is key for success
  • Manage the project throughout the project Life Cycle
  • Empower yourself with adequate signature authorization and project target agreements to manage small and C-category projects as a commercial project entrepreneur
  • Support the PM in managing and optimizing financial results with professional care (e.g., project gross profit, cash flow, assets, and financing instruments)
  • Ensure an adequate handover phase, analyze customer requirements, and examine their commercial and contractual feasibility, including ECC matters
  • Drive the review and evaluation of contract conditions, including all attachments, ensuring examination by Legal
  • Support the PM in identifying, evaluating, and assessing risks and opportunities, and developing strategies and response activities
  • Manage Project Finances
  • Ensure accuracy of cost and pricing calculations, project books, and records in systems like SAP
  • Perform month-end activities and prepare commercial documentation for project status meetings, ensuring data accuracy (e.g., FC, cash flow)
  • Ensure compliance with Siemens FRG and local GAAP requirements, and manage financial guarantees, bonds, and project securities
  • Support the PM in minimizing non-conformance costs, establishing reporting structures, and implementing lessons learned
  • Manage risks, contracts, and claims, ensuring compliance with LoA guidelines and risk management processes
  • Ensure compliance with standards, rules, and regulations, fostering a culture of trust and integrity (e.g., tax regulations, signature rights, segregation of duties, ECC, EHS)
  • Manage customer requirements and expectations with the PM
  • Ability to handle multiple midsize projects, prioritize tasks, and interpret and execute contract terms and conditions

Skills

  • BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management
  • SAP Experience
  • 10% travel

  • Qualified as Project Manager & Manages (at least) S projects
  • Siemens C-CPM Certification
  • 2-4 years of CPM experience
  • Demonstrates skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated with customer orientation and clear growth and entrepreneurial mind-set
