We especially welcome therapists from South Asian backgrounds who can connect with clients in languages beyond English (such as Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, or Gujarati). The ability to bridge cultural and linguistic gaps in care is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy sessions tailored to clients’ needs, including children, adults, and families.
  • Work flexibly and autonomously in a supportive, virtual care environment.
  • Deliver culturally adapted care, integrating clients’ cultural identities, values, and languages into the therapeutic process.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with healthcare and privacy regulations (e.g., PHIPA).
  • Track and analyze client progress and outcomes using evidence-based methods and digital tools.
  • Participate in peer consultations, training, and continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in culturally adapted therapy.
  • Engage clients with warmth, professionalism, and empathy, helping them feel seen, understood, and supported throughout their care journey.
  • Professional malpractice liability insurance in place.
  • Comfortable using technology

Requirements

  • Licensed or registered to provide psychotherapy in Ontario (e.g., RP, C.Psych, C.Psych.Assoc. or equivalent).
  • Masters level training in Psychology (Clinical Focus), Clinical/Counseling Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • Experience in culturally adapted or community-focused therapy.
  • Fluency in one or more South Asian languages (e.g., Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Gujarati, etc.) is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in virtual care environments.
  • Demonstrated commitment to culturally competent and inclusive mental health care.
