Student receptionist is responsible for helping with administrative coverage of the reception area: greeting guests and helping schedule facilities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Duties will include receiving all visitors to the School of Engineering and directing them to the needed services by fielding questions and providing directions to the many and various locations within the school and elsewhere in DeMoss Hall. Specific duties will include directing students scheduled for CASAS advising and tutoring, assisting in the coordination of room schedules and events, answering the telephone, and providing back-up coverage to relieve the office manager for meetings and other administrative tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

The student must be a residential Liberty University student. Hours will vary; candidates must have the ability to work 18 hours per week. Candidates must possess excellent customer service skills and must have and maintain a minimum of 2.5 overall GPA. All applicants must demonstrate a personal faith commitment to the University’s evangelical Christian purpose.

Preferred Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service skills, demonstrate computer proficiency, and possess the abilities to both follow instructions and lead others, a Christ-like attitude, and the ability to function responsibly with minimal direct supervision.
