Job Title: Production Leader

Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am–4:15pm (flexible working available)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Durham

An industrial services business is seeking a Production Leader to support and drive performance across one of the highest‑performing sites in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to step into leadership, develop through structured progression pathways, and make a real impact within a fast‑paced, repeat‑process manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and support a production team of 15–20 staff, ensuring smooth daily operations
Manage staffing levels, workflow and productivity against operational KPIs
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, promoting Lean thinking and operational excellence
Communicate targets clearly, monitor results, and encourage a culture of accountability
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations while promoting team wellbeing
Support employee development through coaching, performance management and upskilling
Contribute to planning, forecasting and problem‑solving across the site 

Experience & Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who brings:

A strong personality with the confidence to lead from the front.
Proven experience within a fast paced industrial or manufacturing environment
The ability to understand and communicate the why behind KPIs and performance measures
Transferable leadership experience with real‑world examples
A background motivating teams and working to structured operational goals
Understanding of Lean / CI principles is beneficial
