About the position

The Principal PPM role at DICK'S Sporting Goods is focused on leading large multi-year strategic programs aimed at enhancing the Athlete Experience. This position oversees all aspects of program management, including strategy formation, process definition, organization design, and technology delivery. The Principal PPM is responsible for guiding a team of business, technology, and third-party vendor stakeholders, ensuring effective integration across teams and initiatives, and managing a network of strategic alliances to meet stakeholder needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large multi-year strategic programs focused on evolving and scaling Athlete Experience.
  • Oversee all aspects of program management including strategy formation, process definition, organization design, and technology delivery.
  • Provide strategic thought leadership in Omni Retail and Marketing.
  • Implement best practices and program standards for multi-year, strategic, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Drive transformation and change management in partnership with executive leadership.
  • Lead all program management activities across business and technology teams.
  • Own all aspects of program planning including cross portfolio planning, prioritization, estimation, budgeting, and goal setting.
  • Facilitate executive level planning, prioritization, and status update discussions across stakeholders.
  • Manage identification of risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the program.
  • Define stakeholders and engagement plans for the program to ensure appropriate stakeholder involvement.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in MBA, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience, with 7-10 years in retail program management.
  • 7-10 years of experience with agile development and deployment practices.
  • 5-7 years of experience in or engaged with MarTech.
  • Agile / Scrum certification.
  • PMP certification or knowledge (preferred, not required).

Nice-to-haves

  • OCM or CCMP Certification or knowledge (preferred, not required).
