Responsibilities

Working as a Power Systems Engineer at EPE you will gain experience developing and conducting modeling and analysis for generation, load and energy storage interconnections. You will contribute to systems design studies, generation interconnection planning, studies, and applications. And you will also learn the foundation of collecting and setting up data to perform preliminary analysis to support higher staff engineering levels.

 

 

How you can make an impact:

  • Develop collector systems and substations one-line diagrams, steady-state, short circuit and dynamic plant models as well as generation interconnection applications for solar, wind and battery energy storage projects
  • Provide technical support to generation/load interconnection processes with the transmission grid from the initial filing of the interconnection application all the way through commercial operations
  • Conduct electrical system design studies for wind, solar and battery energy storage projects and provide recommendations to meet the applicable codes and standards as well as the transmission and distribution service provider’s requirement

Qualifications

Bring your passion, here what’s needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Have high standards in producing quality reports and products that he/she shall own with pride
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly with respect to explaining technical matters
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Have good technical skills
  • Ability to meet work deadlines
  • Attention to detail skills
