Pool Supervisor (Full Time) - Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas

Scope of Position

The mission and intent of the Pool Operations Supervisor of the Pool Café and Cabanas is to ensure that guests and residents are provided with the highest level of service in accordance with the standards set forth by Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas and Forbes Service Standards. In addition, he/she will follow the guidelines for safety set forth by the HACCP, as well as the local beverage regulations of the state of Nevada. The Pool Operations Supervisor will assist the Pool Operations Manager in all pool day-to-day operations, training, and planning for the pool season.

Duties and Supporting Responsibilities

  • Performs administrative duties such as, but not limited to, scheduling, payroll, and inventory
  • Enforce established guidelines and policies of the hotel and carries out disciplinary action(s), as necessary
  • Provide excellent service at all time to all of our guests
  • Managing day-to-day operations
  • To supervise the maintenance and cleanliness the service area of the café and pool deck at all times
  • Knowledge of food and beverage to be able to service and upsell the product
  • To manage proper staffing level
  • To manage proper supplies level
  • Manage / oversee scheduling, recruitment and interviewing for new team members
  • Manage / oversee team member’s training and development
  • Manage monthly departmental meeting
  • Conduct daily communication meeting with staff prior to shift to communicate relevant daily information
  • Ensure Pool & Cabana standards are upheld
  • Uphold and enforce all hotel policies and procedures as stated in hotel team member handbook
  • Report all suspicious persons or activities and hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Security Department
  • Attend weekly and monthly meeting
  • Communicate all group information/changes to existing information to appropriate hotel team members in an accurate and timely manner
  • Provide guest assistance, direction, and information as requested when working in public areas

  • Have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience of restaurant experience within a luxury hotel operation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills within the English language
