Gingerbucks is growing and we’re ready to bring an accountant in-house.

We’re a women-led, digital-first accounting practice empowering women founders to truly understand, own, and master their money. We’re proud to be AAT Practice of the Year 2025, and we’re now in a strong growth phase building something sustainable, modern and values-led.

We’re looking for a part-time Accountant to join us on an employed basis, supporting our growing client base and stepping confidently into a role with real responsibility and variety.

The Role

This role will start as fully remote, with monthly in-person co-working days alongside Nicole.

Candidates should be based in or near Birmingham, or happy to travel to attend these co-working days.

You’ll take ownership of work previously handled by multiple freelancers, meaning you’ll need to be confident, capable, and ready to hit the ground running.

This role goes beyond “just the numbers.” You’ll be part of a growth-stage business and encouraged to get involved in wider areas such as:

  • Managing and supporting client accounts
  • Improving internal systems and processes
  • Working within a fully digital-first practice
  • Contributing ideas to business development and growth initiatives

Hours

  • Part-time: approximately 16 hours per week
  • Flexible working hours within an agreed structure

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 4 AAT qualification
  • At least 3 years’ accounting experience
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of your workload
  • Confident using digital accounting systems
  • Enthusiastic about learning and growing with the business
  • Aligned with our values of honesty, transparency, flexibility, and goal-driven work
