Make it your own by discovering new ways to securely and expertly apply the latest technology.<br><br>GDIT is looking for <strong>Network Computer Support Technician </strong>in<strong> Rome, NY</strong>, who holds active DoD/DoW Secret Clearance.<br><br><ul><li>The Tier 1 maintenance of the on-site ADCS systems and subsystems, performing preventive and corrective maintenance and monitoring the on-site and remote locations. <br><br></li></ul><strong>MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT<br><br></strong><ul><li>Terminate ADCS circuits activated at the node point-of-presence (POP).</li><li>Report failures to the on-site government contract representative no later than the start of the next duty day</li><li>Coordinate system downtime requirements with CAOC/ADS “Comm Focal Point (CFP)”</li><li>Monitoring the on-site and remote locations</li><li>Perform additions, changes, and relocations of ADCS equipment</li><li>Performs a range of technical tasks and provides site support.</li><li>Modifies, moves, and installs a range of new equipment.</li><li>Troubleshoots a range of hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues.<br><br></li></ul><strong><strong>WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED<br><br></strong></strong><ul><li>Must have an active Secret Level security clearance</li><li>Must hold active CompTIA IAT 8570 Level II or DoD 8140 equivalent (i.e.: Security+CE) certification or higher</li><li>Must have AA/AS and 3+ year of experience; or equivalent</li><li>Must be onsite in Rome, NY</li><li>Operations and maintenance of communications/computer systems and networks.</li><li>Installs communications/computer systems in accordance with the respective installation spec.</li><li>Troubleshooting and support of communications systems/networks.</li><li>Working knowledge of Cisco system support/maintenance, VMware ESXi system support/maintenance, Active Directory, Windows Server 2019, HBSS, ACAS, SQL, SolarWinds, and Splunk preferred.</li><li>End-user support and training on communications systems/networks.</li><li>Administer network/cyber security policies and procedures.</li><li>Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.</li><li>Participates in special projects as required.</li><li>Focused on identifying customer needs and maintaining customer satisfaction.</li><li>Perform assigned additional duties (Vehicle Monitor, Local Records Maintenance, Site Safety representative, etc.) if/when selected.<br><br></li></ul><strong><strong>Working Conditions:<br><br></strong></strong><ul><li>This mission supports 24/7 x 365, shift work and weekends may be required</li><li>Work may require some physical effort in handling equipment, boxes etc.<br><br></li></ul><strong>GDIT IS YOUR PLACE<br><br></strong>At GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do.<br><br><ul><li>Growth: AI-powered career tool that identifies career steps and learning opportunities</li><li>Support: An internal mobility team focused on helping you achieve your career goals</li><li>Rewards: Comprehensive benefits and wellness packages, 401K with company match, and competitive pay and paid time off</li><li>Community: Award-winning culture of innovation and a military-friendly workplace<br><br></li></ul>OWN YOUR OPPORTUNITY<br><br>Explore a career at GDIT and you’ll find endless opportunities to grow alongside colleagues who share your ambition to deliver your best work.<br><br>The likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.83 - $34.11. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
