Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Event Coordinator to oversee and execute a variety of events across our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of events to ensure seamless delivery and exceptional guest experiences. Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate events from inception to completion, including venue selection, logistics, catering, and entertainment arrangements
  • Manage event budgets and optimise resources effectively
  • Upsell additional services or products to maximise revenue opportunities during events
  • Liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure all event requirements are met
  • Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all aspects adhere to safety standards and organisational policies
  • Provide exceptional guest services, addressing any issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
  • Develop detailed timelines and checklists to ensure timely execution of all event components
  • Manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and organisational standards
  • Assist with fundraising activities as required, engaging with donors and sponsors effectively
  • Utilise excellent communication skills to promote events through various channels and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in event planning or coordination within the hospitality or related sectors such as restaurants or hotels
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
  • Excellent time management skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience in upselling or increasing revenue through additional sales strategies
  • Knowledge of guest services principles and hospitality standards
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in fundraising is advantageous but not essential
  • A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities
