About the position

Canon USA in Melville, NY is currently seeking a Marketing Associate Specialist (Assoc Specialist, Marketing) to support key accounts/sales channel and marketing campaigns in day-to-day retail marketing, planning, and execution. This person will work directly with each retailer, sales rep, and account executive to drive key products, sell out, and grow business. Responsible for the creation and management of marketing content and media plans (i.e. banners, videos, promotional content, webpages, paid search and display advertising, etc.). This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs.
  • Works on the planning and implementation of projects and events that support the marketing function.
  • Interacts directly with sales managers to identify new marketing opportunities.
  • Prepares regular marketing activity reports and responds to questions from within the sales organization.
  • Activities include day-to-day online and in-store sales marketing support.
  • Manages account's retail opportunities, online paid search and display ads campaign aligning with our core business strategy.
  • Tracks marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future marketing promotions.
  • Responsible for new product launches marketing contents set up, creation and distribution.
  • Works with business planning and sales to prepare account product line review/pre-disclosure meeting presentations.
  • Monitors unauthorized dealers' activities on 3P via Brand registry with legal and third-party service.
  • Works with Marketing Campaigns and Brand Marketing team to utilize and share content consistent with brand marketing efforts.
  • Assists with finding and engaging with influencers for internal and external content related activity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required.
  • 0 to 2 years of related experience.
  • Paid media experience either social media or paid search a plus.
  • Media agency or marketing agency experience a plus.
  • Retail marketing experience a plus.
