Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day value stream operations and production employees in alignment with schedules, quality standards, and operational objectives.
  • Execute production schedules, monitor scrap and non-conforming material, and partner with Quality to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain defined safety stock levels while supporting effective capacity utilization.
  • Monitor workflow and resolve production issues by coordinating with team leads, supply chain, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and sales as needed.
  • Collaborate with buyer/planners and suppliers to address material availability issues and support continuity of supply.
  • Support and review engineering change notices, NCMRs, OALs, Variances, CAPAs, and other quality documentation as required.
  • Assist in responding to customer complaints.
  • Support cost improvement, risk reduction, and quality improvement initiatives within the value stream.
  • Escalate unusual operating conditions to Operations leadership and contribute to routine manufacturing reports and metrics.
  • Support budget adherence and provide input into forecasting and operational planning.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, GMP and company policies.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of reagent manufacturing operations and value stream management principles.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, analyze, and clearly communicate operational data.
  • Demonstrated people leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams.
  • Experience supporting cost reduction, process improvement, and waste elimination initiatives.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive ideas through implementation.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of equipment, equipment qualification, and process validation.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools; Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Understanding of reagent manufacturing requirements, including FDA and ISO 13485 standards.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a reagent manufacturing or sterile processing environment.
  • Prior supervisory or people-management experience required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $100,000 - $140,000. The actual base pay includes many factors, and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
