<h4>Organization unit purpose</h4> <p>To support the established business continuity and crisis management framework in line with international best practice and evolving requirements of the group. To support the group in ensuring operational readiness in all crisis situations and disruptive events.</p> <h4>Job purpose</h4> <p>This profile requires the professional to provide strategic direction and support the group level business continuity management program:</p> <ul> <li>By enhancing the established group-wide business continuity management framework to facilitate the business units in developing, improving and maintaining the appropriate business continuity capability according to the business requirements and in line with international best practices;</li> <li>To ensure the sustainability of the group business continuity management capability by monitoring and reporting the readiness to senior management; and</li> <li>To support the business units during disruptions or unexpected events that may disrupt the business activities of the organization.</li> </ul> <h4>Job content</h4> <ol> <li><strong>Business continuity and crisis management framework</strong><br> Support the design and development of group level business continuity management framework considering the group’s organizational structure including the local and regional demographics with a proper linkage and reference to the group level critical incident management framework (technology, premises, facilities). Support development of the required tools to assist the business units in developing, implementing and monitoring the business continuity plans across the group. Support the established group level crisis management framework and enhance its efficacy by suggesting improvements conducive to international best practices.</li> <li><strong>Business continuity and critical incident planning</strong><br> Assist the business units in understanding the risks they are facing, the level of resilience among operational processes, determining the appropriate response, recovery and resumption treatments in line with international best practices. Develop and improve the tools and criteria which can then be used by other group level support units to ensure the business continuity requirements are evaluated and incorporated in normal day to day operations. Recommend recovery strategies and response options based on evolving business environment and assist with the implementation of recovery solutions. Assist the business units in planning, conducting and reporting the readiness of the business unit’s business continuity management capability. Support business units in planning to handle critical incidents and business disruption situations.</li> <li><strong>Business continuity assurance</strong><br> Assist business units in designing, development and conduct of exercise programs in compliance with group business continuity management policy, group critical incident management policy and group operational risk management policy. Report the business continuity status of business units to senior management. Ensure BCM framework is always ready for internal and external reviews and suggest improvements to enhance efficacy.</li> <li><strong>Awareness and training</strong><br> Staff development by way of developing and/or conducting training and awareness programs to ensure that all employees are fully conversant with the established business continuity management framework in the group.</li> <li><strong>Business continuity and crisis management support</strong><br> Support the BCM senior manager in managing business continuity incidents and crisis situations, reviewing evolving business and operational environment.</li> <li><strong>Project and process review</strong><br> Review of new and amended processes and other initiatives as part of the CRSA/NPPA with respect to BCM initiatives and projects.
