The Opportunity: Our investment consulting department is very well known and highly respected within our industry. We advise a large range of institutional clients and count over 50% of FTSE100 companies as receiving advice from our business.

Your Role: Investment consulting isn't just about crunching numbers, instead striking a fascinating balance between technical work and consulting. You will be using data and complex models to explore vast financial landscapes and building relationships as you contribute to investment advice for a range of clients including some of the largest pension schemes in the country, charities and sovereign wealth funds.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Using complex models to evaluate past performance and future risks associated with different asset classes, with a view to helping clients identifying optimal investment strategies. This includes detailed consideration of responsible investing, so that we can help shape a better future

  • Helping LCP search the market for the best investment opportunities available for our clients, and then identifying investment managers and funds to implement chosen strategies

  • Draft reports for review by senior colleagues covering all aspects of investment advice and reporting

  • Involvement in, and planning of, the transfer of assets between investment managers liaison with managers during the transfer process

  • Calculate investment performance figures for performance attribution and monitoring purposes

  • Access to opportunities to improve consulting skills both externally and through exposure to clients and other advisers

What we’re looking for

  • A Level STEM subject Grade A

  • Degree educated (minimum 2:1) or currently studying for a degree and on track to achieve a 2:1, in any subject

  • IT skills – including Microsoft software 

  • Problem solving, numeracy and analytical skills 

  • Remaining up to date on developments across financial markets

  • Excellent communication skills
