<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong><strong>UW Medical Center's - Montlake - Operating Room has</strong> an outstanding opportunity for a <strong>Part-time Days- Health Unit Coordinator</strong>.<br><br><strong>WORK SCHEDULE<br><br></strong><ul><li>Part-time (90% FTE)</li><li>Days: 7:00am- 7:00pm<br><br></li></ul><strong>POSITION HIGHLIGHTS<br><br></strong><ul><li>Conveniently located near public transportation</li><li>Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve</li><li>Opportunity to provide career growth<br><br></li></ul><strong>Primary Responsiblities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment where multitasking and strong organizational skills are essential</li><li>Respond to patient and family inquiries in a timely, courteous, and accurate manner</li><li>Assist in maintaining a welcoming and organized unit environment for patients, families, and staff</li><li>Provide staff, providers, vendors and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communication, including answering phones and triaging team request</li><li>Work closely with the charge RN to help manage patient flow, prioritize unit needs, and coordinate admits, transfers, and discharges</li><li>Coordinate transportation and appropriate paperwork for patient transfers and diagnostic testing</li><li>Handle unit paperwork, including patient chart maintenance, consent forms, and other documentation</li><li>Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and restock as needed Utilize computer systems such as Epic, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook for communication, documentation, and coordination</li><li>Partner with all members of the care team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery</li><li>Other duties as assigned by the department<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>High school graduation or equivalent AND</li><li>One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience OR</li><li>An equivalent combination of education/experience <br><br></li></ul><strong>About Uw Medical Center-montlake<br><br></strong>UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
