The Team

The HBO & HBO Max Global Original Programming Planning Team is responsible for crafting strategic long-term global original programming (OP) rollout plans and release strategies in close partnership with HBO & HBO Max Creative Executives and Content Planning & Programming regional leads around the world. As an integral part of WBD's Streaming organization, the team spearheads and collaborates cross-functionally on all OP strategic planning for HBO Max globally with the core objective of fueling HBO Max's current and future growth.

The Job

We are hiring a Coordinator, based in New York, who will provide strategic support in the development of HBO & HBO Max global OP planning. Reporting to the Manager of HBO & HBO Max Global OP Planning, the Coordinator will be responsible for aiding in the creation, maintenance, and evolution of HBO & HBO Max OP rollout strategies and release plans for U.S. and International OP. As HBO Max continues to scale globally, the HBO & HBO Max Global OP Planning team plays a critical role as the global leader of OP slate rollout plans and release strategies in addition to serving as the central hub of OP information in ongoing collaboration with key stakeholder teams including Marketing, Media Relations, Finance, Content Strategy & Analysis, Merchandising, etc.

The Daily

• Contribute to the development of long-term rollout plans, release strategies, and specific premiere date recommendations for HBO & HBO Max OP (original programming) globally.

• Support the creation of long-term OP rollout grids, content reference guides, release volume overviews, and ad-hoc decks/presentations for collaborative discussion and active dissemination across key Streaming partner teams around the world (e.g., Marketing, Finance, Distribution, Merchandising, Media Relations, etc.).

• Contribute to ongoing competitive content tracking materials with a focus on the evolving streaming OP landscape.

• Support development of International OP planning materials and communications, including: assisting with strategic meetings related to International OP premiere timing and long-term title planning, documenting updates to holistic International OP rollout plans, and contributing to cross-functional collaboration with Content Planning & Programming regional leads.

• Demonstrate expertise on competitive streaming landscape OP mix and content trends as well as internal focus areas related to content planning and strategy.

• Contribute to the ongoing creation and maintenance of OP-related presentations and decks for senior leadership meetings.

The Essentials

• 1-3 years of full-time work experience; background preferably includes at least one of the following:
  • Entertainment industry content-specific experience (e.g., content planning, content strategy, long-term strategic scheduling, content research, etc.).
  • Management Consulting within Media, Technology, or Telecom.

• Superlative organizational skills with the ability to manage simultaneous projects with a variety of deliverables under tight deadlines while maintaining the highest attention to detail.

• Effective ability to interface with stakeholders across the company in a professional, efficient, and amiable manner; aptness for clear, intelligent, and high-level oral and written communication.

• Strong analytical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize data to help inform and support long-term OP planning and rollout decision-making.

• Intimate knowledge of and passion for the competitive streaming content landscape, with a keen understanding of current content trends impacting the industry.

• Self-motivated, with the ability to work and think independently while also being a team player.

• Strong Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and digital research skills.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $48,470.00 - $90,016.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
