We are seeking an experienced and passionate Guidance Counselor to join our vibrant school community in Sharjah, UAE for an August 2025 start. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting student well-being, academic success, and personal development. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counselling services to students, offering guidance on academic, personal, and social matters.
  • Help students develop coping skills, improve self-esteem, and manage stress or emotional challenges.
  • Work closely with parents, teachers, and administration to ensure the well-being and academic success of students.
  • Organize and lead workshops and group sessions to address issues such as bullying, career development, and study skills.
  • Provide career counselling and guidance on post-graduation plans for high school students, including university applications and vocational opportunities.
  • Maintain confidential records of counselling sessions and support services provided to students.
  • Monitor student progress and implement strategies to promote emotional, social, and academic growth.
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a guidance counsellor, ideally in a school setting.
  • Experience in providing career counselling and supporting students with university admissions or future career paths.
  • Knowledge of child development, mental health, and adolescent psychology.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage but not required.
  • Compassionate, approachable, and able to build trust and rapport with students.
