Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in advertising, marketing technology, management consulting, or product management.
  • 2 years of experience working with Product Management or Engineering teams, executive leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • 2 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience planning, buying, or selling sports content, ideally working with partners or sports-focused agencies.
  • Experience using data to evaluate opportunities and drive decision-making, while leveraging investigative fluency to uncover insights.
  • Experience executing Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies for advertising products in Product Management, Solutions, or Sales Operations.
  • Knowledge of the YouTube creator ecosystem and digital advertising tools like Google Ads or DV360.
  • Track record of translating technical features into compelling commercial narratives and value propositions for clients.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority to navigate ambiguity and align on priorities.

In this role, you will define and drive the commercial narrative for YouTube Sports, spanning the full spectrum from Live events to Video on Demand (VOD) and Creator content. You will act as the connector between sports trends in the marketplace and our product and sales teams, ensuring YouTube captures the energy of live action for advertisers. By advocating product innovations and tracking business performance, you will unlock new sponsorship demand and ensure our solutions meet the high expectations of the global sports market.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Advocate the platform's holistic value across Live, VOD, and Creator content, surfacing opportunities for advertisers in markets.
  • Evaluate and operationalize opportunities that unlock advertiser demand, bringing our creators and platform closer to the action.
  • Produce compelling claims and pitch materials while maintaining rigorous tracking of the overall sports business to demonstrate impact and identify growth areas.
  • Partner with Product teams to define key features and innovations required to unlock sponsorships and incremental business, ensuring alignment with market expectations.
  • Cultivate relationships across YouTube and Global Business Organization (GBO) to align on key focus areas, making connections across different touch points at Google to maximize the impact of our opportunities.
