Our team seeks a DC System Support Technician I to help us create better outdoor experiences by completing Distribution Center technical equipment updates, repairs, and maintenance in a way that supports the Company's business initiatives and objectives. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, performs, and documents preventative maintenance, repairs, and modifications. Maintains and contributes to asset management, inventory of equipment parts, and 3rd party service agreements related to such equipment. This job also provides backup and support for other Facilities Maintenance functions. Models and acts by REI's guiding values and mission. Ready to discover better with us? Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair of DC equipment, including but not limited to Handheld and Wearable RF devices, radios, scales, Push to Light Systems, printers, Workstations, and Cubiscan Machines
  • Develops and maintains service records, including scheduled and actual maintenance; documents repair and RMA date, required repairs, parts, inventory sourcing, and cost in the applicable systems.
  • Coordinates with DC Supervisors, Supply Chain Analysts, Vendors, and others (as needed) to schedule repair and maintenance services.
  • Maintains appropriate inventory and supplies; assists in purchasing; orders, stocks, and documents inventory in the applicable systems.
  • Serves as primary IT Support for the Distribution Center team.
  • Backup to Facilities Coordinator regarding PLC and conveyor system support
  • Acts as a resource, assists, and is a backup to the Facilities team during projects and other situations as needed.
  • Maintain Server Room and Communications Room. Ensures all associated servers, support equipment, and storage are proactively maintained to optimize the Distribution Centers' performance.
  • Builds relationships with the IT Infrastructure and Logistics Technology Services teams to maintain the best service within the DC.
  • Maintains ongoing relationships and serves as a member on various committees to represent departmental and overall company interests; communicates company needs and expectations internally or externally; provides review, input, and recommendations as appropriate.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Understanding Client Hardware and Software, Wireless Technology and mobile devices, Network and Server troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer using MS Office, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing parts inventory preferred.
