What does a DSP do?

  • Help people with everyday routines so their home is comfortable and safe.
  • Assist with personal care, such as getting dressed, bathing and grooming.
  • Help the person with their medication routines.
  • Lend a hand with household tasks like cooking meals, doing laundry, and cleaning.
  • Assist with community connection by going out to the grocery store, attending medical appointments or something fun like bowling or grabbing a coffee!
  • Support friendships and social connections.
  • Help teach daily living skills like budgeting and time management.
  • Encourage independence and autonomy as much as possible!
  • Being a support and advocate for the person.
  • Celebrate successes big and small.

Requirements:
