About the job Remote Data Entry Operator / Typing Job Status: This is a part time, regular status position (20hrs/wk, M-F 4 hrs/day)
Wage: $18.00/hour
General Summary of Purpose of this Position:
Provides data entry for the Gallatin Valley Food Bank. Navigates multiple data systems with precision and efficiency. A strong understanding of how data systems function is integral to the success of this position. Requires accuracy and efficiency to allow the GVFB to better serve its customers and inform donors. Performs a variety of clerical duties. Performs data entry into various databases as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Position is Monday-Friday 4 hours per day.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
This position has the following duties and responsibilities. They are listed starting with the most important. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Performs Data Entry:
Enter clients personal data, services, and other relevant information into various databases.
Reviews intake forms for completeness and updates data system with changes.
Works with the Healthcare Admin JobsData and Compliance Coordinator for systems evaluation and Implementation
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Language Skills:
Read and comprehend basic instructions and present information to others.
Read, interpret, and write routine reports and correspondence.
Basic counting skills.
Add, subtract, multiply and divide simple numbers.
Handle cash receipts, donations, postage and petty cash.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
Words per Minute Computer Keyboard Required: 55 wpm
10-Keystrokes per Minute Data Entry Required: Display competency

Operate/Program Fax Machine to send or receive documents

Utilize computer spreadsheet (Excel) to input, format, and edit data and save, print, or transmit data.
