Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler


Job Description


Join a dynamic team in assisting with the mechanical and electrical builds of customer products in the In Row Heat Exchange department. You will play a pivotal role in understanding basic wiring schematics and diagrams, focusing on point-to-point wiring. Your expertise in crimping, pulling, terminating, and installing will be essential to the team’s success. Will train on 1st shift then transition to 2nd shift after a couple of weeks.


Responsibilities


+ Work under direct, close supervision with frequent monitoring of output.

+ Follow detailed written or verbal instructions, including visual aids, diagrams, and schematics.

+ Ensure the assigned area is clean and organized according to 5S standards.

+ Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

+ Coordinate with teammates to organize tasks requiring multiple team members, working in smaller group teams.

+ Keep inventory personnel informed about spare parts inventory and locations for ease of order fulfillments.

+ Remain local to the cell unit throughout the shift, wiring different sections per client specifications using point-to-point schematics.

+ Conduct real-time testing for point-to-point testing to ensure accurate wiring and resolve any issues with wires or housing.


Essential Skills


+ Experience in assembly, blueprint reading, mechanical understanding, schematic interpretation, and use of hand and power tools.

+ A minimum of 1+ years experience in electrical or electromechanical assembly.

+ Ability to interpret blueprints, graphs, schematics, and diagrams.

+ Proficiency in electrical wiring and machine building.

+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

+ Competency in using a Windows-based operating system and related software.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


+ Experience from technical schools specializing in industrial electricity, maintenance, or manufacturing.

+ Understanding of electrical current and use of meters to test voltage.

+ 50% mechanical and 50% electrical experience with wiring and light schematics.

Work Environment


Begin training on the first shift from 8am to 4:30pm, transitioning to 6am to 2:30pm, and eventually moving to the second shift from 3pm to 11:30pm once training concludes. Enjoy a clean, temperature-controlled environment where assembly areas consist of four techs per unit. The department is expanding, adding additional headcount, with expectations to produce five units simultaneously per day. Overtime is available, with a cap of 58 hours per week, offering double time for Sundays worked.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, Tennessee.


Pay and Benefits


The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
