Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician/Subcontractor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be confident in domestic first and second fix, able to work independently, and comfortable working as part of a team. You will undertake a range of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks across West Cornwall, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety. This role is flexible, with full time, part time, and subcontracting options available. Key Duties • Carry out domestic first and second fix electrical work to a high standard • Use hand tools and power tools for installation, maintenance, and repair tasks • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and written instructions accurately • Conduct electrical work in line with current regulations and safety standards • Inspect work areas and completed tasks, ensuring quality and compliance • Work both independently and as part of a team depending on the project • Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure smooth workflow • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment • Report any hazards, issues, or incidents promptly Skills & Requirements • Fully qualified electrician with strong domestic experience • Proven experience using hand tools and power tools • Solid understanding of wiring, circuits, and electrical safety protocols • Ability to read and follow technical drawings and specifications • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Reliable, punctual, and professional • Full UK driving licence required • References essential What We Offer • Company van available for the right applicant • Competitive rates of pay based on experience • Flexible working options (FT/PT/Subcontractor) • Join a small but well-established business with a steady flow of work • Friendly, supportive team environment If you’re hardworking, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality work, we’d love to hear from you.
