But enough about us. Let’s talk about you

We’re looking for a Content Writer / Copywriter who can bring language to life - across sectors, formats and platforms - and help global brands connect with their audiences at every stage of the digital journey.

About the Role

As a Content Writer / Copywriter, you’ll craft thoughtful, human-first content that meets users where they are, across websites, platforms, campaigns and product journeys. This role sits at the intersection of creativity and performance, blending voice, storytelling, structure and strategy to deliver content that drives clarity, connection and conversion.

You’ll work across diverse clients and industries, adapting to different brand voices, compliance needs, and localisation standards, and ensuring content supports not just storytelling, but searchability, scalability and performance.

You’ll collaborate closely with content strategists, UX designers, marketers and technologists to craft messaging that not only works across platforms, but works with the platform, especially Sitecore, Content Hub and emerging tools like SitecoreAI.

What You’ll Do

  • Content Creation & Writing
  • Write clear, compelling copy for websites, journeys, campaigns and experiences across B2C and B2B sectors.
  • Adapt tone and messaging to suit different industries (e.g. finance, travel, retail) and sensitivities (e.g. regulated content).
  • Craft copy for CTAs, headlines, page narratives, microcopy, error states and everything in between.
  • Write for different funnel stages, from awareness to action to retention, across omni-channel experiences.
  • Voice, Structure & Messaging
  • Interpret content strategy, brand guidelines and audience insights into distinctive, effective voice and messaging frameworks.
  • Contribute to content models and templates that support component-based publishing in CMS platforms.
  • Translate structured content fields into natural, persuasive copy, fit for both machine and human readability.
  • Platform-Aware Copywriting
  • Write with an understanding of modular content models, structured data and tagging for reuse and personalisation.
  • Align content to Sitecore and Content Hub capabilities (e.g. components, assets, content types).
  • Contribute to content migration, QA and authoring for digital builds.
  • Search-Ready Writing (SEO / AEO / GEO)
  • Craft content optimised for search, considering keyword strategy, E-E-A-T principles, and natural language search.
  • Help write metadata, structured snippets and SEO-aligned headlines and intros.
  • Consider voice search, generative search and AI-powered content discovery.
  • Collaboration & Iteration
  • Work in lockstep with UX, Strategy, Tech and Design teams to deliver joined-up experiences.
  • Participate in user journey mapping and content planning sessions.
  • Collaborate with translation and localisation teams to support multilingual delivery.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years’ experience as a digital content writer, UX writer or copywriter (agency or in-house).
  • Strong portfolio of web, product or campaign writing, with clear examples of voice, clarity and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to write for multiple tones of voice, verticals and user types.
  • Understanding of structured content and writing for modular design systems.
  • Familiarity with SEO, structured data, and accessibility best practices.
  • Experience working in or around CMS platforms like Sitecore, Content Hub or similar.
  • Awareness of how AI tools (e.g. SitecoreAI, ChatGPT, Writer, Grammarly) can accelerate content creation, and where human craft must lead.
  • Excellent attention to detail, grammar, flow and digital usability.
  • Clear communication, collaborative energy and the ability to take and apply feedback constructively.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience writing for Sitecore-powered platforms or working within Sitecore Content Hub environments.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Arabic (especially for MENA-based clients).
  • Experience writing content for high-sensitivity industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare or Government.
  • Experience with content QA, localisation workflows, and global publishing models.

Why Join Horizontal?

  • A consultancy where content is strategic, not secondary.
  • Work on global brands and multilingual platforms across exciting verticals.
  • Collaborate with strategists, designers, engineers and marketers on truly connected experiences.
  • Flexible hybrid culture, supportive team, and tools that help you do your best work.
  • A chance to shape content’s role in the future of experience-led marketing.
