Content Marketing Specialist

Navigator Multimedia | Remote (Canada)

About Navigator

Navigator Multimedia has helped businesses grow online for over 30 years. We build custom websites, SEO programs, paid advertising systems, and digital growth strategies designed to produce measurable results, not vanity metrics.

We’re Google and Shopify partners. We work with companies that are serious about growth. We don’t do cookie-cutter marketing, and we don’t chase trends without a plan behind them.

We’re looking for a Content Marketing Specialist who understands that content is only valuable when it attracts the right audience and drives action.

The Role

This is a hands-on execution role.

You’ll own content end-to-end: idea → creation → distribution → optimization.

If you enjoy creating content and care about performance, rankings, and outcomes, you’ll fit right in. This is not a “writer-only” or “designer-only” position. You’ll work across video, graphics, email, SEO, and AEO to support real growth goals.

What You’ll Be Responsible ForContent Creation

  • Edit short-form and long-form video (social, ads, YouTube, website)
  • Create graphics for social media, email campaigns, blogs, and landing pages
  • Maintain brand consistency across all content
  • Repurpose long-form content into multiple high-value assets

Content Distribution & Email Marketing

  • Build and send email campaigns and newsletters
  • Support basic email automations (welcome, nurture, follow-ups)
  • Repurpose content across email, social, and web
  • Improve open rates, click-through rates, and engagement over time

SEO / AEO (Search & Answer Optimization)

  • Optimize blogs, pages, and content for search intent
  • Apply on-page SEO best practices (headings, internal linking, metadata)
  • Structure content for featured snippets, AI answers, and voice search
  • Support ongoing organic traffic growth

Performance & Optimization

  • Track content performance and key metrics
  • Improve content based on data, not assumptions
  • Collaborate with strategy and web teams to align content with growth goals

What We’re Looking ForMust-Haves

  • 2–5 years of experience in content marketing or digital marketing
  • Strong video editing skills (Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut, or similar)
  • Solid graphic design ability (Canva, Figma, Adobe, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with email platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of SEO and on-page optimization
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Google Search Console
  • Understanding of AEO and AI-driven search
  • Experience repurposing content across multiple platforms
  • Agency or fast-paced environment experience

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent, high-quality content output across video, email, and web
  • Improved email engagement (opens and clicks)
  • Growing organic traffic and content visibility
  • Content that supports lead generation, not just engagement metrics

Why Work With Navigator

  • Remote-friendly work environment
  • Work with an experienced, no-nonsense team
  • Clear expectations and real ownership
  • Opportunity to grow into a senior or lead role as the company scales

Compensation

Competitive salary based on experience.
This is a mid-level role, typically in the $55,000–$65,000 CAD range depending on skills and experience.
