Job Overview

As a Concierge at Phantom Creek Estates, reporting to the Tasting Room Manager, you play a pivotal role in shaping each guest’s first and lasting impression of the estate.

As part of the front-of-house team, you will coordinate guest flow throughout the tasting room, thoughtfully seat guests according to their reservation and experience type, and communicate closely with Brand Ambassadors, Support Associates and other team members to ensure smooth transitions and exceptional service. Attention to detail, clear communication, and a genuine passion for hospitality are essential, as you help create a refined, welcoming environment that reflects the values, craftsmanship, and luxury of Phantom Creek Estates.

Job Responsibilities

· Courteously greets visitors, providing an exceptional first impression, and a thorough explanation and recommendation of the PCE wine experiences.

· Efficiently checking guest into our reservation system and guiding them to their tasting experience.

· Manage and book tastings, tours, and other experiences.

· Answer all phone calls and inquiries with professionalism and warmth, providing accurate information about estate offerings, availability and policies

· Facilitate checkout experience for guests using the POS system.

· Replenish inventory of wine and merchandise in the tasting room as needed.

· Assist with special events such as private dinners or media tastings.

· Setting up and cleaning up daily operations and special events, including washing and polishing all glassware.

· Responsible for tracking and logging guest data, including the referral source.

· Liaise with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and itinerary.

· Make every effort to understand precisely who the guest is and their true intentions for visiting by utilizing service forward conversation and winery software systems.

· Ensure the hospitality building is always in pristine condition.

· Assisting guests with transporting purchases either to their vehicle or via shipment for delivery.

· Embrace and demonstrate PCE’s Core Values of Care, Authenticity, Refinement, and Excellence.

· Other tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications

· Previous host or reception experience is an asset, ideally within a luxury or upscale hospitality environment

· Must possess a valid & current Serving It Right certificate

· FoodSafe is an asset

· Basic knowledge of wine, including common wine terminology and service language, is considered an asset

· Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional hospitality with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

· Proven communicator with the ability to think critically, problem-solve effectively, and remain composed under pressure

· Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills, with a warm and professional demeanour

· Experience using reservation systems and point-of-sale platforms such as Tock or Commerce7 is an asset

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first mindset

· Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to take initiative and responsibility

· Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required by business needs

· Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
