Job Duties

This position serves as administrative and compliance support for the Board for Contractors, Polygraph Examiners Advisory Board, and Waste Management Facility Operators Board. Primarily, this position performs compliance-related tracking and data entry for disciplinary, licensing, and Recovery Fund transactions for all boards assigned to the section. This position provides primary administrative support to the Assistant Executive Director for the section. Review and respond to applications and requests for licensure. Determines eligibility of applications and evaluates applications for completeness and strict compliance with statutes, Board regulations, and policies. Issues licenses to qualified applicants, notifies applicants of application deficiencies, and advises what steps should be taken to resolve deficiencies. This position also provides primary back-up support to the Administrative Coordinator and Education Specialist. Creates, maintains, and updates accurate filing systems for all applicants and compliance with the section.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to independently determine if board-imposed sanctions are met, determine applicant qualifications for licensure, and satisfy the requirements of regulation, policy, and statute.

Ability to work as part of a team with all staff and the general public under challenging circumstances and short deadlines with little supervision.

Ability to understand and apply regulations and processing procedures, and keep accurate records.

Ability to operate data entry/word processing equipment to keep accurate records and prepare grammatically correct documents.

Ability to provide excellent customer service and answer a high volume of phone calls.

Additional Considerations

Ability to work well as a member of a team with little supervision.

Good oral and written communication skills are essential.

Experience in a regulatory environment.

Knowledge of regulations and office procedures.

Experience in word processing and other automated systems. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a regulatory environment.
