ABOUT ALMAALMA is an arts & culture firm in New York City, operating at the intersection of contemporary art, design, performance and social change. We handle high level press placements, graphic identities, marketing initiatives, digital storytelling, partnerships and events, working with  industry leaders including individual artists, galleries and museums, non-profit organizations and private and public institutions.POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a Community & Content Associate to work directly with ALMA’s Community & Content Director and closely with ALMA’s Executive team, supporting client accounts with a focus on social media management and engagement. The Community & Content Associate will also support the day-to-day functions of the agency with its client engagements to ensure efficient and effective work product and impact. This role primarily centers on social media while also straddling content/community, including a mix of internal and external work, team organization, client support, managing social media channels, securing partnerships/sponsorships and community engagement on behalf of ALMA and ALMA’s clients. The role is in-person at our New York City office with attendance at client events and social engagements falling outside normal business hours highly encouraged for maximum impact and success. The role requires being available to respond to team and client requests via email/text in a professional and timely manner.RESPONSIBILITIES SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT & CONTENTManage social media platforms for ALMA and a range of client accounts, including caption writing, content creation, scheduling and community engagementCreate content for internal/external marketing channels, including social media, YouTube and email newslettersAssist in the development and execution of social media, digital and newsletter strategies and campaignsAnalyze campaign performance using data analytics tools and provide reports on effectivenessCollaborate with design team to develop digital and social media assets and collateralCapture, edit and prepare organic content for ALMA and client’s social channelsStreamline and operationalize social media and digital marketing processesAssist with implementation of data analytics and reporting systemsBuild out database for influencer marketing efforts and campaignsMaintain editorial calendars for email marketing and social mediaActively engage with digital audiences on social media channelsSource images for and write copy and captions for social postsJoin, participate and take notes on calls and in meetingsOwn social media/digital asset organizationCOMMUNITYSupport event coordination and logistics, including venue, partners, sponsors, guest lists, RSVPs and check-inCollaborate with design team to create promotional materials and collateral for partnerships and eventsAssist with initiating, planning, organizing and executing programming, partnerships and events Drive event attendance through effective outreach strategies and partner networksResearch partnership/venue contacts and build partnership and brand databasesManage post-event content and release production for client events Compile materials and build partnership decksQUALIFICATIONSExtremely strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including professional email etiquette Experience sourcing partnerships and developing/producing events and community engagement activitiesBachelor’s or Master\'s Degree in public relations, marketing, advertising, graphic design or a creative fieldDynamic client presentation skills and ability to juggle multiple client dynamics, needs and preferences 3+ years in social media management, preferably within the realm of arts/cultureComplete fluency and excellence in Instagram, Canva, Mailchimp and SproutAbility to work independently and effectively to communicate work progressAbility to work collaboratively within a nimble and tight-knit team structure Deep interest and/or experience in contemporary art, fashion and designProactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced work environment Extremely strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail Innovative, caring, empathetic, adaptable and forward-thinkingExperience with photo/video capture, editing, production Ability to prioritize projects and effectively manage time Proficiency in Dropbox, Google, Notion, Pitch, Figma
