Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team on the weekends , part time (20hrs), at Stocks Hall Ormskirk. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and kitchen management, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will aid our Head Chef in overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards while leading and inspiring your team in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
  • Manage food production processes, ensuring quality control and adherence to recipes.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, showcasing creativity and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
  • Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations at all times.

Skills

  • Proven supervising experience in a kitchen setting.
  • Strong background in food production and preparation techniques.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff.
  • Demonstrated culinary experience with a passion for cooking.
