Position Summary / Job description
We are looking for an experienced Bartender to join our onboard team.
The Bartender onboard the cruise ship Club Med 2 will provide exemplary, attentive customer service to passengers during their dining experience, in all bar outlets, ensuring a smooth and efficient service is provided in order to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibility of the Role:
· Engage with the passengers in a friendly and polite manner. Take orders correctly and issue drinks quickly and accurately to the table.
· Serve drinks following company policies and procedures, including informing the Head Bartender when a passenger has consumed excessive alcohol.
· Respond to passenger questions, particularly in relation to the menu or wine, where applicable, advising alternative drinks that may suit or help inform choices.
· Provide attentive customer service to allocated tables throughout the service period. Process passenger billing correctly for the charge of drinks, where applicable, using the point-of-sale system.
· All bars must be clean, orderly, and properly prepared prior to bar opening. Inform the Head Bartender of any fixtures or fittings that need repair / renewal.
· Consistently deliver exceptional service to every guest while interacting and entertaining in a professional manner, when required and perform duties as requested.
· You have a complete knowledge of all the drinks listed. The correct glassware and garnishes must be used for each drink as per the procedure line.
Carry out all work safely, efficiently and in accordance with all current safety and company regulations, including the Public Health Policies and Procedures

Position Requirements:

    • Previous professional experience preferably gained within a 4 / 5 star high volume hotel or restaurant establishment or cruise service experience.
    • Fast, precise preparation of cocktails according to predefined recipes
    • Knowledge on molecular drinks
    • Always up-to-date on “trendy drinks”
    • Ability to read, interpret and demonstrate the preparation of drink recipes
    • Monitoring, coordination and replenishment of beverage supplies
    • Competent in the use of most MS Office software
    • Good command of written and spoken English & French
