Reporting To: Director, Space Sect Adv Programs Work Schedule: Onsite – Phoenix, AZ Moog Space and Defense Group is the operating group with the longest heritage at Moog. Our expansive defense portfolio is aligned with U.S. military priorities and our mission of “equipping those who defend freedom.” The Moog Space Division is looking for a Sales and Proposal Manager on-site in our Gilbert, Arizona location. The Sales and Proposal Manager position reports into the Growth and Strategy Team and is responsible for the execution of proposals, facilitating the functional, legal, and compliance aspects of contract acceptance, managing customer contacts, leading customer-capture efforts, and managing CRM primarily for the Avionics Business Unit but supports the entire Division’s interests. Here's what you will be doing: • Lead high-stakes proposal activities and near-term sales customer interactions. • Ensure Full Legal, Contract and Compliance reviews of proposals. • Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, Coordinate proposal related resources with functional management across Moog sites. •Manage the proposal execution and proposal budget, track proposal status, and maintain proposal archives and metrics including CRM. •Develop strategic plans with the Business Unit and the Growth and Strategy Team and implement tactical decisions •Promote customer intimacy and relationships that foster growth with our best customers •Work closely with Regional Business Development Managers within the Growth and Strategy Team to successfully transition new opportunities to winning proposals. •Lead the proposal process that includes, but is not limited to: competitor assessment, strategic fit, price to win, program risks and opportunities, proposal resources, program resources, lead times. •Provide timely and accurate inputs into CRM, ensuring overall accuracy. •Manage contractual reviews for new programs including interfacing with government contracting officers, data rights assertions, and commercial assertions •Ensures cross functional program execution team (program management, operations, procurement) is on-board with proposed execution schedule and assumptions. Here’s what you need to bring with you: • Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in an Engineering or Business field. •A minimum of 10 years of experience in proposal process management including experience as a lead customer/supplier interface. Demonstrated success in building relationships. Experience using CRM tools to track customer interactions, opportunities and bookings forecasting. •Strong program/project management experience •The communication and collaboration skills mandatory to successfully satisfy internal and external customers. • Ability to manage through influence without direct line reporting in a fast-paced growth environment. • Experience in the space industry and/or electronics/avionics is a plus • Are a U.S. citizen and possess or have the ability to obtain a security clearance. • Ability to access US export-controlled information (ITAR). • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time. #LI-MC1 Salary Range Transparency: Phoenix, AZ $155,000.00–$202,000.00 Annually Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
