Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations of our QC Vanier location. In this role, you will oversee store operations, ensure high standards of customer service, and lead the team to achieve sales and operational objectives. You will take an active leadership role on the sales floor while helping maintain a positive, results-driven workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the store team to achieve sales targets and deliver strong customer experiences.
  • Oversee daily store operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory control, and basic reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational standards, and applicable government regulations.
  • Monitor and address security, loss prevention, and risk management matters.
  • Actively support front-line operations as needed (sales floor coverage, customer service, merchandising).
  • Implement in-store marketing and promotional initiatives.
  • Maintain strong product knowledge to support staff training and customer interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of retail sales experience, with 2–4 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Post-secondary education in business or a related field is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales performance and manage store operations.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • English and French proficiency is an asset.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, or climbing.

Aperçu du poste

Nous recherchons un(e) assistant(e) gérant(e) de magasin expérimenté(e) pour soutenir les opérations quotidiennes de notre succursale de Vanier (QC). À ce poste, vous superviserez les activités du magasin, assurerez un excellent service à la clientèle et dirigerez l’équipe afin d’atteindre les objectifs de vente et d’exploitation. Vous jouerez un rôle de leadership actif sur le plancher de vente tout en contribuant à un environnement de travail positif et axé sur les résultats.

Responsabilités principales

  • Diriger, encadrer et motiver l’équipe du magasin afin d’atteindre les objectifs de vente et d’offrir une excellente expérience client.
  • Superviser les opérations quotidiennes du magasin, incluant la dotation, la planification des horaires, le contrôle des stocks et les rapports de base.
  • Veiller au respect des politiques de l’entreprise, des normes opérationnelles et des lois et règlements applicables.
  • Surveiller et gérer les enjeux liés à la sécurité, à la prévention des pertes et à la gestion des risques.
  • Soutenir activement les opérations de première ligne au besoin (plancher de vente, service à la clientèle, marchandisage).
  • Mettre en œuvre les initiatives de marketing et de promotion en magasin.
  • Maintenir une solide connaissance des produits afin de soutenir la formation de l’équipe et les interactions avec la clientèle.
  • Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe assignée.

Exigences

  • 3 à 5 ans d’expérience en vente au détail, dont 2 à 4 ans dans un rôle de supervision ou de gestion.
  • Diplôme d’études postsecondaires en administration ou dans un domaine connexe (un atout).
  • Capacité démontrée à atteindre les objectifs de vente et à gérer les opérations du magasin.
  • Excellentes aptitudes en leadership, en encadrement et en communication.
  • La maîtrise du français et de l’anglais est un atout.
  • Disponibilité pour travailler les soirs, les fins de semaine et les jours fériés.
  • Capacité de soulever ou déplacer jusqu’à 50 lb et d’effectuer des tâches nécessitant de rester debout, de se pencher ou de grimper.
