UAEU invites applications for a faculty position (Assistant Professorship) in Fintech within the College of Business and Economics (CBE). The CBE has been accredited by AACSB since 2000. Candidates are expected to have: 1) A strong commitment to teaching excellence, course development, and student advising at both undergraduate and graduate levels, with particular emphasis on integrating FinTech into the curriculum. 2) A demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise that will result in publishing his/her research findings in refereed journals. 3) The ability to actively engage in promoting the growth of the Finance program and the College of Business and Economics (CBE) at UAEU through personal outreach and outreach with students to the public and private sectors. 4) Participate in the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and/or dissertations. 5) Participate in committees at the departmental, college, and university levels as assigned. 6) Provide consultancy to researchers, and the business community.
Minimum Qualification
1) A Ph.D. in Finance, Financial Technology (FinTech), or a closely related field from an internationally recognized university and AACSB-accredited school. 2) Research record in Finance with a particular focus on FinTech, and demonstrated ability to publish in leading international journals. 3) Strong commitment to excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and outcome assessment, with the ability to design and deliver FinTech-focused courses. 4) Proven experience in teaching FinTech and Finance courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. 5) Openness to cross-disciplinary collaboration in research, teaching, and program development. 6) Ability to communicate effectively in English; and 7) Excellent interpersonal skills, as a flexible and versatile team player.
