About the Role:

An Account Manager serves as a key customer contact and consultant. This position requires a

proactive, analytical professional who can exercise discretion and independent judgement in

evaluating customer needs, recommending solutions, and making decisions that directly affect

customer acquisition, retention, and overall company revenue. Knowledge of products and their

mechanical workings is important for quick and accurate follow-up and service. The Account

Manager will work closely with the outside sales team and interact daily with authorized Virnig

dealers as well as end-users of the product. This position is ideal for an ambitious professional with

an interest in the construction and agriculture industries who can build relationships and provide

outstanding customer service.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as a strategic partner to customers by exercising independent judgement in

recommending Virnig products and services based on unique customer requirements.

  • Align and work as teammates with Regional Sales Managers to provide support for all customer

needs.

  • Develop strategies with Regional Sales Managers to grow market share within an assigned

territory.

  • Make informed decisions in qualifying leads, proposing tailored solutions, and handling

escalated service issues with minimal supervision.

  • Proactively follow up on quotes and leads to ensure timely responses, address customer

questions, and convert to orders while maintaining a consultative, solution-oriented approach.

  • Prioritize tasks to ensure goals are met and strategies are implemented effectively.
  • Build strong partnerships with new and existing customers via phone and email.
  • Maintain product knowledge and participate in sales and developmental training.
  • Support customers and dealer network by accurately generating quotes and orders.
  • Answer basic technical questions about specific attachments, parts, and accessories.
  • Be cooperative, positive, and respectful with customers, supervisors, and co-workers.
  • Inform the supervisor of any concerns that may arise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, AA, or other college experience is helpful and desired. High school diploma or

equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in sales of skid steers, attachments, farm, or

construction equipment.

  • Experience operating a skid steer preferred.
  • Knowledge of skid steer attachments or related equipment.
  • CRM or Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

people outside the organization – representing the company to customers and external

relevant sources with an eye for details.

projects simultaneously while keeping deadlines at the forefront.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to move about between offices and attend meetings which may include ascending or

descending stairs.

  • Occasional lifting and carrying of materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Hearing and speech ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone using the

English language.

  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate standard office equipment such as a computer

keyboard, mouse, telephone, copier, and printer with precision and efficiency.

Pay: $45,760-74,000/year- In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects

the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and

other factors.
